It will be another two or three months before the Consumer Electronics Show comes to the Las Vegas Convention Center but the night before SEMA opened we got a mini-CES preview.
A show called AutoFocus 2007 crammed about 15 technology manufacturers into a dinky room at the MGM not big enough for the McGillicuddy Wedding. But it had some interesting stuff. Let’s go alphabetically (from the middle of the alphabet):
The Mio DigiWalker is a series of portable handheld navigation devices that can dock in your car or ride in your shirt pocket. That’s not news. The cool thing with the C720t is it has a 20-megapixel digital zoom camera that allows you to take a picture of some place you like and store the GPS coordinates of that place as a POI (point of interest). That way you can return someday to the exact same spot and find they’ve built acres of stucco tract homes.
